Converts your 1954 - 1957 dash, that didn't have a glove box door, to a glove box door. Late in 1957 / early 1958 (E-44800) Metro dash's started to be manufactured with a glove box door. Basically speaking, if yours doesn't have one & you want one, we have a really nice comprehensive conversion kit to get you a glove box door.
Includes glove box door, 2 original retaining pins & keepers, & 2 brand new laser cut hinges & attaching hardware. We have tested the sheet metal screws to be the correct size and not hit the door when opening and closing. Originally they were riveted from the factory but it would be difficult to rivet the hinge to your dash in the car.
None of the parts in this conversion kit are available individually. We only have enough of each to match each other.
The only part that won't come with this kit is the 2 stops at the top of the glove box (where the bumpers would go). You can see them in pictures 3 & 4. We do have a very limited supply of used ones cut out of rusted out dashes, you can fabricate your own, or you can go without - they aren't 100% necessary.
All our used parts will be in various stages of condition. You will need to restore to your standards.
