Description
Fits all Metropolitans. We chemically clean, pressure test, bead blast, & paint them a gloss black.
Check out CH36 when these aren't available.
We rarely have these since they are difficult to repair properly, so when they're in stock I'd get one while you can.
Core Charge - 80.00. The core charge is for the inlet and outlet tubes - so if your core leaks you would still get the core charge refunded. Please be sure to send the brass drain screw with your core.
Keep in mind these are a used heater core. We do everything we can to make sure they are the best they can be but there aren't any guarantees on used parts. Since heater cores aren't fun replacing in a Metropolitan, keep in mind we sell a brand new unit. It is in the related items below.
Installation Tip: Installing the heater assembly is probably the most difficult and frustrating item to assemble & install correctly in the car. We recommend drilling the 3 spring steel retaining clips and screwing them into the heater motor housing. Otherwise they constantly fall off when trying to install. A carbide drill bit is better suited to drill the hole since spring steel can be tough to drill. Be sure the screw doesn't go all the way through the housing so the heater core sits flat. If it doesn't your fan blades may hit the housing. If they do you can remove a defroster hose and adjust with a pair of pliers.
